Character: Mizuki Hajime
Age, Year in School: 14, 3rd year
Extracurricular Activities (if any):Tennis Club, Student Council
Biography/Personality: Bio~ Mizuki was raised in the country side(though he only grudgingly admits this) living under the same roof as his grandparents, parents, and two older sisters. Though he never lived in the city as a child, he acted quite like a spoilt city-boy, feigning aristocracy most of his life. (Something he still continues to do) Because his older sisters are both several years older than him, Mizuki was often left behind and never developed a distinctively close relationship with either of them. However, being the only boy, he tended to follow the examples of his female siblings without knowing it was ‘improper’ and thus developed numerous girlish habits—whether it be in terms of hygiene, fashion, or mannerisms. As an attempt to fix these feminine tendencies, his parents encouraged him to take up sports while he was still in grade school. After trying (and failing) countless activities, he settled with tennis, finding that it possessed a technical aspect that appealed to him. Over the next few years, he developed his style of ‘data tennis’, one of the things he takes the most pride in. To further pursue this passion, he transferred to St. Rudolph for the first two years of his middle school and found that dorm life quite suited him. He enjoyed the freedom (and the attention of his teammates) and was able to make his way to both the top of the class and the tennis team. By the end of his second year, his family received a certain envelope inviting him to enroll in a new, elite boarding school. Without a second thought, he accepted. ‘Elite’ was always a word he felt he was destined for.
Personality~ Mizuki is blessed with an analytical mind and almost girlish, good-looks. He know this (very well, might I add) and often uses one or both to his advantage. Though he’s never really considered anyone his friend (honestly, who could be on the same level?), he craves the attention of almost anyone around him. Quite simply, Mizuki loves people. He finds them fascinating—so full of energy and yet so easily manipulated. Often, he will put up an act of independence, self-confidence (almost to the point of narcissism), and aristocracy, but it is only that—an act. Or more like, an extremely intricate performance, a means of self-defense. Inside, he’s very dependent on other humans for their approval, respect, and attention. He’s constantly fighting to uphold the ‘flawless’ image he’s made for himself and is sensitive to even the slightest words of disapproval (though he would never let it be known, if he can help it). Mizuki is very secretive and tells lies so frequently and effortlessly that it’s always difficult to tell when he is being honest. Despite his vanity, manipulation, and high and mighty exterior, when you strip all that away you get the very core of Mizuki Hajime—A considerate, clever, and harmless teenage boy. Honestly. It just takes mounds of patience and even more prying.
